This delicious sauce is the perfect topping for ice cream, pie, apple slices, and so much more! It comes together quickly and with only a handful of ingredients!

You will need:

  • 1 cup honey from The Honey Jar
  • 1/2 c Heavy Cream
  • 4 Tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract
  • pinch of sea salt

Instructions:

  • Put honey in a medium sauce pan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil gently 3-4 minutes. As liquid evaporates, honey will darken slightly and begin to caramelize.
  • Remove from heat. Whisk in butter. When butter is melted, add heavy cream. Whisk together to combine.
  • Put sauce pan back on medium heat. Cook about 5 minutes, until instant-read thermometer reads 220°F.
  • Remove from heat, add vanilla and sea salt. Stir together until combined.
  • Cool about 20 minutes, then use OR pour into jar and let cool to room temperature.
  • Cap jar and refrigerate. It will thicken as it cools.

Honey Caramel will last in fridge up to 2 weeks. Warm your cold caramel in microwave in 30-second intervals (stirring in between) to get desired drizzle consistency.
