Email subscriptions. We collect your email address, subscription preferences, and information about interactions with our marketing emails.

Giveaways. We collect the information requested on the entry form, including your first name, last name, and email address. Additional information may be needed to administer entries, confirm eligibility, contact a winner, or deliver a prize. The giveaway rules explain its entry requirements, newsletter enrollment, and any publicity uses.

Reviews and messages. We collect the information you provide when you contact us or submit a review, including any photos or other content you choose to provide. Reviews and content submitted for publication may be displayed publicly with the reviewer information associated with them.

Some providers process information on our behalf. Others also process information for their own purposes under their privacy policies.

We may disclose information when required or permitted by applicable law, including to respond to legal process, investigate fraud, protect people or our business, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Shopify and Shopify Network Intelligence

Shopify processes information about your visits and purchases to operate our store.

We also use Shopify Network Intelligence. This allows Shopify to use information from interactions with our store, other merchants, and Shopify to provide enhanced services, including personalization, improvements, and advertising.

Shopify and other providers may process information in countries outside the United States. See Shopify’s Consumer Privacy Policy for more information. You can also visit Shopify’s privacy portal to learn about choices available directly through Shopify.

Microsoft Clarity

Clarity helps us understand how visitors use our website through session replays and heatmaps. This can include page views, clicks, scrolling, and other interactions.

We use Clarity’s masking features to help prevent sensitive page content, such as information entered into form fields, from appearing in recordings.

Microsoft receives website interaction data and may also use information for advertising as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Advertising and “sale” or “sharing” of information

We do not sell customer mailing lists for money or rent email addresses. We do disclose certain information to advertising partners to measure advertising and show relevant ads across websites and services.

Depending on the service, this information can include online identifiers, device information, pages viewed, and shopping or purchase activity. Advertising partners may associate that information with information they receive through other interactions with you.

These advertising disclosures can constitute a “sale,” “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising, or “targeted advertising” under applicable state privacy laws, even when no money is exchanged.

You can use our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page to exercise the advertising choices described there.

Cookies and your privacy choices

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We also use similar technologies, including pixels and browser storage, to support store features, measure activity, and provide advertising.

Our cookie controls organize technologies into four categories:

  • Strictly necessary: Support essential functions such as the cart, checkout, security, and remembering privacy choices.

  • Functionality: Support optional features and preferences.

  • Performance: Help us understand website use and evaluate improvements.

  • Targeting: Support advertising, advertising measurement, and related recognition across websites or services.

Our banner presents choices based on our regional consent settings. Where consent is requested, you can accept or reject optional categories. You can revisit your choices through the cookie-preferences control on the website.

An advertising opt-out and a cookie choice serve different purposes. Use the advertising opt-out page for sale, sharing, and targeted-advertising choices, and the cookie controls for the optional technologies described there.

Changing a preference affects future processing covered by that choice. It does not itself request deletion of information previously collected. You can contact us separately about deletion.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

We recognize Global Privacy Control, or GPC, as a request to opt out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising as applicable. We apply that choice to the browser or device sending the signal and to associated information where required by law.

If you use another browser or device, you may need to enable the signal or make your choices there as well.

We do not separately respond to the older Do Not Track browser setting.

Marketing emails

Our marketing emails may use tracking images to estimate whether a message was opened and tracked links to measure clicks. We use this information to evaluate and improve our emails.

You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or by contacting us. We process unsubscribe requests promptly and within the time required by law. You may still receive transactional messages about orders, deliveries, subscriptions, or customer-service matters.

When you unsubscribe, we mark your email address as unsubscribed rather than deleting your contact record. We retain your unsubscribe status so we can honor your choice. Unsubscribing does not delete earlier orders or your customer account.

Email subscription preferences are separate from website cookie preferences.

Your privacy rights and requests

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to:

  • Learn whether we process your personal information and obtain access to it.

  • Receive a portable copy of certain information.

  • Correct inaccurate information.

  • Request deletion.

  • Opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising.

  • Limit certain uses of sensitive personal information or exercise other rights provided by applicable law.

  • Appeal a decision about a privacy request.

To make a request, email support@thehoneyjarhome.com or call 385-220-7011. For advertising opt-outs, you can also use our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.

For access, correction, or deletion requests, we may need information to verify your identity and locate the relevant records. We do not require identity verification simply to honor a browser-based advertising opt-out.

An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf where applicable law permits. We may request appropriate evidence of the agent’s authority.

Some requests are subject to exceptions. For example, we may need to retain particular records to complete a transaction, comply with a legal obligation, or address a dispute. If we cannot fulfill a request, we will explain the decision as required by law.

We will respond within the applicable legal deadline. Where an appeal is available, reply to our response or contact the email address above with “Privacy appeal” in the subject line. We will review the appeal and explain the result, including any available way to complain to the relevant regulator.

We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

How long we keep information

Orders and customer records. Our order records and associated customer information in Shopify currently do not have a fixed automatic deletion date. These records support purchase history, customer service, subscriptions, accounting, and other purposes described in this policy.

Email preferences. Unsubscribing changes your marketing status. It does not automatically delete your contact record. We retain unsubscribe information to help prevent unwanted future marketing.

Analytics and advertising. Retention differs by provider, data type, and service settings. There is no verified single retention period covering all of our analytics and advertising services.

You can contact us to request deletion. Applicable legal exceptions may allow or require us to retain certain information.

Security

Our store uses Shopify’s hosting and payment infrastructure. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure.

If a security incident requires notification under applicable law, we will provide that notification.

Children

Our store is intended for adults purchasing our products. Children under 13 should not submit personal information through the website. Our current giveaway rules require entrants to be at least 18 years old.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact support@thehoneyjarhome.com so we can review the situation and take appropriate action.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices. We will post the revised policy with its effective date. For material changes, we will provide any additional notice and obtain any consent required by applicable law.
