Honey Herb Cornbread Recipe

Today's delicious new recipe is a fun twist on an old favorite- Honey Herb Cornbread. It's crumbly and savory and so full of flavor! 

Ingredients You'll Need:

  • 1 c corn meal
  • 1 c all purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 1/2 c milk
  • 1/2 c melted butter
  • 1/4 c warmed The Honey Jar honey
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh herbs (we used sage, parsley, thyme, rosemary, & chives) *can substitute 2 tsp dried poultry seasoning.

Instructions:

Preheat over to 375° F. Spray 8x8 baking pan with cooking spray.

Combine melted butter, milk, warmed honey, & egg to mixing bowl. Mix Well. Add corn meal, flour, baking power, salt, & herbs to bowl. Mix until combined.

Scrape down the mixing bowl, making sure ingredients are incorporated. Pour contents into sprayed baking dish. Bake 25 minutes, until golden brown and center is cooked through or toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Enjoy!
