What is a honey stick?

A honey stick - also called a honey straw or honey stix - is a BPA-free, food-grade straw filled with about one teaspoon of real honey and sealed at both ends. No spoon, no jar, no mess. We’ve filled ours in Ogden, Utah for 21 years, using the same American honey that goes into our jars.

Honey sticks for tea, lunchboxes & on-the-go

Drop a stick in hot tea or coffee and it doubles as a stirrer — one stick sweetens a standard cup. They’re lunchbox-friendly (no gluten, no nuts, kosher), portion-controlled at about 15 calories per stick, and easy to hand out at events, markets, and team snack tables.

Pure or flavored (plus and where the color comes from)

Pure sticks are 100% clover or wildflower honey, nothing added. Flavored sticks start with the same honey plus flavoring — and the color you see is the straw itself, not dye added to the honey. Use the Ingredients filter to shop exactly what’s inside: unflavored pure honey, natural flavoring, or classic favorites made with artificial flavoring. Every option is labeled.

Frequently Asked Questions:

HONEY STICK QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

What are honey sticks?

Honey sticks — also called honey straws or honey stix — are BPA-free, food-grade straws filled with about one teaspoon of real honey and sealed at both ends. Ours are filled in Ogden, Utah with 100% American honey.

How do you open a honey stick?

Bite gently on the sealed end and pull it back like a wrapper, or snip the tip with scissors. Full walkthrough with photos: how to open a honey stick.

How much honey is in one stick and how many calories?

Each stick holds about one teaspoon of honey — roughly 15 calories. That’s enough to sweeten a standard cup of tea or coffee, with built-in portion control.

Are your honey sticks dyed?

No. The color comes from the straw itself so flavors are easy to tell apart at a glance — we never add dyes to the honey. Pure clover and wildflower sticks contain nothing but honey.

Are honey sticks OK for kids?

Yes, for children over 12 months — they’re a portion-controlled treat with no gluten and no nuts. Never give honey of any kind, in any form, to infants under 1 year old.

Do honey sticks expire?

Honey essentially never spoils, and sealed sticks keep for years at room temperature. If the honey inside crystallizes, it’s still perfectly good. More detail: how long honey lasts.

Do you sell honey sticks wholesale or in bulk?

Yes — 1000-count boxes and 500-count retail displays, at the same public pricing you see on the site. No account, minimums call, or price sheet required: wholesale & bulk honey sticks.
