Honey Lemon Tea Recipe, Just Perfect for Cold and Flu Season

Honey Lemon Tea: Your Winter Relief for Sore Throats and Stuffy Noses

The cold weather brings all kinds of great things with it—holidays with family and friends, cozy sweaters, warm fires. But the unwelcome gift of winter that we could all live without is the onset of cold and flu season.

Today I'm going to share my go-to recipe for relief from the sore throats and stuffy noses that come with it!

Honey Lemon Tea Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup or more hot water
  • 1-2 tablespoons lemon juice (fresh juice from lemons is best, but bottled works fine)
  • 2-3 tablespoons The Honey Jar raw honey
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • Sliced Ginger Root (optional)

Instructions:

Just add the lemon juice, honey, and (optional) cinnamon and ginger to your taste and you're all done! There's a lot of wiggle room with this. If you like the lemon to stand out, use a bit more of that. If you'd rather increase the sweetness, go with a bit more honey. If you just want a strong flavor, add a bit more of each.

This lemon honey tea has gotten me through some of the very worst sore throats and helps break up all the nasty stuff we'd rather not think about. I hope it helps you get through the rest of winter too!
